«Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose» is a line from Gertrude Stein's poem «The Sacred Emilia» written in 1913 and published in her book «Geography and Pieces» in 1922. The text is very personal: the first word «Rose» in the line is the name of the beloved woman. Later, in other works, Stein used various versions of this phrase, and «Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose» became her most famous quote, which is often interpreted in the sense that «things are what they are». Stein herself had in mind that even such a simple reference in itself already evokes images and feelings associated with the object. Once Stein noticed: «Listen! I am not stupid. I know that in everyday life we don't go back and forth, repeating: «This is this is this is...» ...but I think that in that line, for the first time in a hundred years in English poetry, the rose – red».

According to the idea of the «Pink Exhibition», all the works before the show were partially immersed in an inflatable pool with pink paint and thus turned into a single general work consisting of very personal messages. I decided to dip in the pink famous line about the rose from the poem by Gertrude Stein. The paint half-hidden the text, turning it into a single plane, but the emotion and meaning have not disappeared anywhere and are still in effect. Poetry works like that. Poetry makes something «very personal» by universal, public domain.
This work was exhibited at the exhibition of the art group PARAZIT «Pink Exhibition» from November 30 to December 15, 2018 in the recreation center «Rose». The conceived concept of even immersing work in the pool failed, because during the group action of immersing all work in the pool with paint, the work «Rose is a rose» was splattered with spots of different colors (from white to bright pink). After the exhibition ends, the author embodies the intended context and regenerates the work, washing off spots from the surface and supplementing with a clear line of immersion of the text in the paint, Gertrude Stain speaks directly to the back of the object. The work will be presented to the viewer for the second time at the exhibition «Phantom of Gender, or impostor».

Позднее, в других произведениях, Стайн использовала различные варианты этой фразы, и «Роза это роза это роза это роза» стала самой известной её цитатой, которую часто интерпретируют в том смысле, что "вещи являются такими, какие они есть". Сама же Стайн имела в виду, что даже простое упоминание само по себе уже вызывает образы и чувства, связанные с объектом ...Однажды Стайн заметила: «Послушайте! Я не глупа. Я знаю, что в повседневной жизни мы не ходим туда-сюда, повторяя: «Это есть это есть это есть...», ...но я думаю, что в той строчке, впервые за сто лет в английской поэзии, роза – красная».

Согласно идее «Розовой выставки» все работы перед показом частично погружались в надувной бассейн с розовой краской и таким образом превращались в единое общее произведение, состоящее из очень личных сообщений. Я решила окунуть в розовое известную строчку о розе из стихотворения Гертруды Стайн. Краска наполовину скрыла текст, превратив его в единую плоскость, но эмоция и смысл никуда не исчезли и по-прежнему действуют. Так и работает поэзия. Очень личное она делает всеобщим.
Работа выставлялась на выставке Творческого объединения PARAZIT «Розовая выставка» с 30 ноября по 15 декабря 2018 года в ДК «Роза». Задуманная автором концепция ровного погружения работы на выставке не удалась, так как во время групповой акции погружения всех работ в бассейн с краской «Роза» была забрызгана пятнами разного цвета. После завершения выставки автор воплощает задуманный контекст и перерождает работу, смывая пятна с поверхности и дополняя четкой линией погружения текста в краску, на обратную сторону наносит прямую речь Гертруды Стайн. Работа будет представлена зрителю во второй раз на выставке «Самозванка или гендерный призрак».
